John Richardson is a journalist who has been covering the chemicals industry for 16 years.

Based in the Asia-Pacific region, John has a deep knowledge of the companies and people who have transformed the region into the world's major consumption and production region.

His aim is to provide insightful, factually based analysis of the key issues facing the industry and his views are highly valued by senior executives.

Since 2006, John has been director of ICIS training Asia, which provides a range of courses covering petrochemicals, oil refining, fertilisers and base oils.

John is a co-author, along with UK-based chemicals consultant Paul Hodges, of the ICIS e-book, Boom, Gloom & The Normal. The book studies the role of demographics, financial markets and emerging-market growth patterns in shaping the outlook for the chemicals industry over the next few decades.

 He also writes regularly for ICIS Insight, ICIS Chemical Business and the Asian Chemical Connections blog.

 Previously, John was editor of Asian Chemical News (2000-2005) and deputy editor (1997-2000).

 Before joining ICIS in 1997, John had roles working for both the BBC and the UK national press.

 

Malini Hariharan

Malini Hariharan, country manager, India, for ICIS, has over 15 years of experience in covering the chemicals industry. Malini, formerly deputy editor of Asian Chemical News, has been regularly reporting and analyzing the performance of the Asian industry and has interviewed many of the movers and shakers in China, India, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

Malini has conducted training events and seminars in Singapore, India, New York, Buenos Aires and Houston and has spoken at many industry conferences.

She started her career with Indian Petrochemicals Corp (IPCL) and was involved in the marketing of polymers and chemicals.


Tiankanok Sirichayaporn

Nexant Asia Ltd

Tiankanok has been working for Nexant Asia Ltd since 2006, where his main focus is petrochemical supply/demand and trade as well as price and profitability forecast.

He has led Global Aromatics and Butadiene Derivatives Market Dynamics studies for Nexant over the past few years, and is currently responsible for Aromatics Quarterly Business Analysis (QBA) in the United Stated, Western Europe and Asia Pacific.

He has also been involved in other consulting engagements including petrochemical market and economic analysis, cost competitiveness analysis as well as technical and commercial due diligence. Prior to Nexant, he gained his plastic and elastomer experience working for HMC Polymers and Michelin in Thailand.

Tiankanok holds and MSc degree in Advanced Chemical Engineering with Biotechnology from Imperial College London, UK and a BSc degree in Chemical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
